Bruin Families

This year parking will look very different. We are excited to announce that all spots in the student parking lot have now been numbered. For the first time students will be able to pick their own spot, and that will be the spot they park in all year!

In addition we are pleased to announce that any spot (other than band practice area) can be purchased at an additional cost and be painted. All proceeds from the Paint Your Parking Spot go to Blacksburg High SCA (Student Council Association) to help with the over 500 Thanksgiving baskets they put together for needy families every year. SCA “Paint Your Spot” Information

Parking fees will remain at $7. If your student would like to participate in the SCA sponsored Paint Your Parking Spot there will be an additional cost of $35.

If you are interested in painting your parking space and helping BHS SCA raise money to help needy families with their Thanksgiving Basket Project, please see the SCA “Paint Your Spot” Information from the SCA with details. Students are responsible for purchasing their own paints and the SCA will host a Paint My Parking Spot Palooza on August 3rd & 4th anytime between 10:00 AM & 5:00 PM. Just a reminder that all students must have paid their parking fee and returned their parking contract BEFORE they can receive information about painting their spot. Please read the Blacksburg High School Painted Parking Spots Application. If you need financial assistance feel free to call the Main Office and ask to speak to an administrator. We want to be sure that all students who want to participate in this fundraiser are given the opportunity.
